Spotlight On Theatre's Dark Purple Velvet Curtains

*

In a theater

the audience sits in the dark,

the wings are dark,

and only the stage is

lighted.

The audience sees the stage

but not into the wings

as embodied humans see

other embodied humans

but not those whose souls

have shed their bodies.

Those in the wings

can see action on the stage

but not vice versa

as angels can see humans

but not the reverse.
