You strike me to the core
And I miss you with every breath
You strum my every chord
And now there's no road left

I couldn't leave now, even if I wanted to
I'm caught up bad, and I am hooked on you
I still throw my questions to the skies
And chase against the shadows in the night

But now, I know, I don't face them alone
You're with me, wherever I may roam
Thank you, now, for bringing new ensight
To what used to be my shattered life

I couldn't go now, don't even want to try
I'm captured now, I want you in my life
I still look for answers from the skies
And chase against the shadows in the night

For all that has gone wrong in this life
I know now, that things will be alright
It only matters, now, that I'm with you tonight
To help me cast the shadows to the sky

I used to chase shadows to feel alive
But there was something that was never right
And since you came into my life
I know my life was once deprived

I need you now, I hope you'll never leave
I want you now, to come hold onto me
No more screaming up into the skies
And no more chasing shadows in the night
