I remember raindrops falling from the sky
I surrendered knowing time was passing by
I looked up just in time to see you walk into my life
And damn it, I should've closed my eyes

I never paid enough attention
To all the little signs
Never questioned your intentions
While you tore me down inside

Then, one day, standing in the rain
I took a look around to find time gone to waste
So, I tore open the scars to let your presence fade away

And I stood there in the rain
To find a way to cleanse the pain
And let every memory fade to grey

Never would there ever be enough to quench your thirst
Never could I offer anything to stop the hurt
You were always too hungry for me to sate
You were always only satisfied with pain

I figured out that day
That you couldn't be happy
And you would always be
Hungry for the pain

I figured out too late
Despite every little thing
That you were starving for misery
Always hungry for the pain
