Inviting faded memories
Tomorrow, lies become honest
In a field of jaded dreams
Yesterday sheds a tear
As it softly disappears
Fading out into nothing
As today's words seem sincere
The new year comes with a promise
To let new wash the old away
While today I try to pay homage
To all my yesterdays
As you look to me for guidance
To survive subsiding pain
I offer tomorrow's promise
That in time all things will fade
I hope so, it sure is taking
