A new day rises

And my heart sings

A new sun hits my slumbering eyes

And my heart sings



A foot falls on a warm carpet

And my heart sings

A 7 foot stretch

And my heart sings



I look out the window and on to the street

And my heart sings

I belt out a song in the shower

And my heart sings



Many open minds around me

And my heart sings

Simple discussions on simple things

And my heart sings



I slump into my chair

And my heart sings

I turn on my computer

And my heart sings



I talk to friends near and far

And my heart sings

I talk for hours

And my heart sings



It seems these days my heart will sing

Like a flock of happy birds

It will sing at almost anything

Though it does not know the words
