¬Azureus strode into the room, his eyes glittering beneath his blue brow, scanning the room for his date to be.

Jade notices Scarlet’s distraction and makes an impatient sound that sounds more like a small hiss, making the feline’s ear twitch.
“What?” Scarlet asks sounding cool and feigning innocence as she turns around.
“That big cat is here, I can’t help but notice your loss in concentration. What do you see in him anyway?” the cobra asked, not trusting the tiger too much.
“He’s my kind of man, what can I say? Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ll go to meet him.” The cat murmured softly, turning after nodding her head in respect to her friend.

The great cat smiled and felt his whiskers wave as he felt her gaze on him. He felt a warm wave of affection for the fine feline approaching him and wondered, as well as hoped, that she felt the same. He outstretched his hand for hers which she gladly took, smiling up at him, her eyes gleaming and he could see she did feel the same. He wanted to embrace her but here was not the place, being a business gathering.

Being rather tall, even for a bear, Titian rose above the crowd, easily spotting his associates. Seeing as the cats were occupied with themselves; he sought out Digo and Xanthous, finding them in a corner, watching the scene. As he approached he nodded and they welcomed him with returned nods.
“So,” Titian attempted to make conversation and Digo responded, as usual,
“Scarlet’s so in love with Azureus. You can see it in their eyes, even here, where they’re supposed to be all business. I’m not sure if I’m impressed that Azureus actually feels the same, or repulsed that they can’t help but show it,” Digo analyzed, seeing and taking note of everything. Titian turned to Xanthous to see his response but he was silent, as usual.

Jade huffed as Scarlet left, almost feeling pity for the girl as she fell for the one womanizer of the group. She slithered over to where she saw Bioletta gliding towards the table with the other three males of the group. Jade had always admired Bioletta, she was such a magnificent plumed creature, she almost sometimes wished she herself was feathered as well. As she caught up with her, Bioletta turned and smiled to her, a Cheshire’s smile. Jade was suspicious.
“What do you know that I don’t?” the cobra asked curiously, trying not to prod even though she knew that she would spill, always trying to show respect.
“She’s done it,” the bird responded excitedly, you could see her excitement in the ruffle of her deep violet feathers.
“Done what? Who? Scarlet?” she asked, prodding regardless of respect, curiosity taking over now.
“He’s fallen for her too! Can’t you see it?” she asks, almost skipping as she fluttered along, reaching the table Titian looks up and smiles in greeting.
Finally Xanthous speaks up, for all but the two being spoken of to hear, “He has truly fallen for her, the first girl he’s ever loved back.”
Jade was shocked, her mouth actually hung a little open before she snapped out of it to respond, “How do you know? Are you sure? Why him? I don’t understand!” she getting so flustered her Ss slurring a bit longer than usual, a thing she always tried to keep under control. She didn’t like him, she never did, and now her friend, the man-eater, had fallen in love with that tiger, the womanizer. She could not believe it.
“It’s true.”
Everyone turned around in shock, not having heard them come up. There stood Azureus and Scarlet arm in arm, Scarlet with a brand new necklace that even matched her dress.
“I am in love with Scarlet and have revealed it to her only to find that the feeling is mutual. I have gifted her with this necklace,” he smiles and Titian, Xanthous, and Digo applaud quietly while Bioletta hops in joy. Jade was not too happy and wasn’t about to hide it. Scarlet noticed it but wouldn’t make a big deal about it now, she’d ask her friend later.
“So you’re a couple now, yes?” Bioletta asked in her Spanish-like accent, and when Scarlet nodded smiling she jumped up and clapped her hands.
As if on cue, as soon as Bioletta’s heels hit the floor the lights went out except the ones on the stage and the business celebration began and everyone sat down to watch, Azureus’ and Scarlet’s fingers proudly intertwined on the table.
