I carefully measured,
when I first saw you.
Endeavored to drink it all in,
cause at the core you,
touched me, and left me elated
and for the first time, my longing is abated.
I study you.
And all of your pictures.
Like a builder who
examines all of his fixtures.
Or like a chemist
who measures each of his mixtures.
So total is my interest
and desire for you,
that my every action reflects
the best that I can do.
And I'm immersed in this study of
lazy afternoons and blue skies above,
long easy drives and glancing eyes,
new introductions to old family ties.
I lovingly assess,
all that I find best,
as there really is no time,
for as I measure you I find,
the importance lies not in the measurements...
but in how carefully I make you mine.
I am so humbled, so..grateful, so touched...that this poem expresses how you "see me"...You are so special to me....I'm Blessed to know you!..~..Sharon
