UNDER YOUR SPELL

Folder:
2003 Poetry

i,

suffocated by

your mere presence

butterflies continue

to wing in my abdomen

‘til i can no longer pretend

you

contaminate my system

blur my conviction

and wane my discretion

words

are hardly spoken

they are seeking

for your contentment

bliss, ecstasy

and endearment

fool me dear

i will be meek

tell me lies

and i will believe

for there is no word

as sweet as yours

and your lips will never

utter a word that

i will not believe

everything you say

is deemed divine

  for as long as my

  love for you survive

Nice poem. Thanks for sharing. There be no greater joy than love freely given and accepted.
