You may not know how much you mean to me,

I may not ever find a way to make you see.

You've touched my life and shaped my heart,

To lose you would tear me apart.

You've cared for me, I don't know why,

Without your love, I know I'd die.

My friend, I thank the Lord for you,

And all the pain you've helped me through.

Challenging and teaching me,

Holding my hand and helping me.

My shoulder when I need to cry,

You take the hurt I feel inside.



But, I don't have the patience,

To be the kind of person you've tried to help me be.

And I will probably never be quite,

The man that I know you want me to be.
