You Were There......
when I needed to talk
you lent me your ear
when I cried
you offered a shoulder
when I had gone astray
you showed me the light
when I could not walk
you carried me
when I was at my worst
you revealed my best
when I lost my soul
you returned the special gift
when I was alone
you gifted me with friendship
through my life
you gave me the love of a true friend
All in all, a web was formed
A simple net to catch hearts
With in each other’s lives
A friend’s love will hold true in the end
