I cry the sea

Two waves crashing against distant shores

the same body of water

Never touching

Never to explore the voracious tidal wave

Of passionate release

Salty tears splash against my face

Just salt, a deliberate after taste

I long for your probing watery embrace

I cry the sea.

Mermaids sigh and sinners weep

I long for your watery retreat

wrists upturned In sacrifice

Tentatively I offer you my life

Hair matted and heart torn

I look to you but see your scorn

unblinking eyes desolate soul

lost in a world where love can't go

Water turns and water spins

i'm baptised in your hedonism

desperate to be seen

turn your eyes to me

If not your heart

look into my soul

And see how much i'm out of control.

seaweed tangles around my limbs

I'm bound with the manacles of your lust

jealousy

ugly and green

I'm here but you can't see

You can't see

we are worlds of water apart
