Personal (Melancholy) All my life I have known dissatisfaction;
I've given up looking to others
because it only brings disappointment.
I am the only one that can make myself happy.
so I take matters into my own hands
even if it ruins any chance to know love.
Even if it causes me to isolate myself
from finding the desires of my heart
outside of these four walls.
I can't risk losing this part of me;
I can't jeopardize my heart
for something that isn't guaranteed.
In this quiet place,
there is acceptance,
there is unconditional approval.
The world is intolerant of people like me;
I'm the victim of addiction
that needs help.
I'd rather believe that
this life makes me happy,
then change.
