I used to light a candle for my love for you

I used to dream in the sparkle of light

For hours I was enchanted by thoughts of you



But now the wind blew out my candle

And it left me alone in the cold darkness

Alone with my dreams and memories at my side



My light was gone before I even got the chance to know

To know that all I was dreaming of was real

That all I longed for could come to life



But everynight I lit my candle,

Just to dream of what would never come.

Just to captivate me with hopeless fantasies



So I burn my candle one last time

And I see all my feelings melt away

So this tale is over and never told
