my whole life is made of
many professions.
by daylight i'm a tutor
of children,
also a student and worker
of a modest piece of land
turning cow manure into compost.
i moonlight as a sort of
cryptographer.
decoding bleak intentions
of cruel men
and then sharing the secrets
towards resistance
turning cow manure into compost, once again.
i confess,
day and night,
i love to till this land.
in the modern world
we invent words and create
fresh titles
and print resumes,
but we're still doing the work
of our ancestors;
and so i'll keep it simple
when you ask:
"what do you for work, man?"
i turn cow manure into compost, my friend.
a deep life lesson in there
when you ask:
"what do you for work, man?"
i turn cow manure into compost, my friend.
… there’s a deep life lesson in there. And that’s the key of life. And on quite another level, it’s the very foundation of organic living, that perfectly mirrors Nature.
