China Doll

I sit and look at the china doll I keep on a pedestal.
Each angle reflects her feature's beauty.
Her face frames the innocence of perfection
Which only man could mar in his effort to possess.
Sparkling brown eyes shine like heaven's gate.
You can go to them, but never pass until you stand the trial of time,
Because in time you may sway but she'll remain fixed and unyielding.
A blend of white cream covers her face in carved consummation.
Her hair lies delicately on her shapely neck and confident shoulders.
I move closer but she can't see me.
I jump and scream, profess admiration, but she can't hear me.
I try to have her for my own,
But as I tug she teeters and falls.
I watch horrified, as all my dreams collide
In the insensitive air of reality.
But in a moment gone I realize my mistake
And run to her,
I catch her before she breaks...

Very nice! I love the powerful imagery and the unrequited love theme, that seems to seep through... looking at life through the glass wall... the people, the dolls, life is a stage after all, lol :) Beautiful, thx for posting!
