Nature, God: Falling

Falling and the fall is fain,
And above, God's love remain
The sky; the wind all nothing song it sing,
During the day and night?
Tree-wood too sigh, a free breath lost to die
With all the going breezes up the sky,
They come to me from heaven cloud done white
Whose love the lady? The Goddess Aphrodite!
Falling, and the fall, a silent stream ,it fled
I heard it moving but in the stirring sea
Swept from the shore a lyric by a sprite
And to the seaman, music became his life
Retrieved, and entering him into the ear,
When far he shipped, when he was shipping near.
