GROWTH

Life is nothing but a series of changes

That disrupts and rearranges

How we deal with this vicissitude

Depends greatly on our attitude

Changes keep coming, no way to halt

One after another, an endless assault

Each one different than the one before

Giving new feelings to explore

Changes are a constant in our life

Caused by joy, sorrow, age, or strife

Sometimes dealing with the concept

Is harder than the reality to accept

Yet we go on until the end

When this life we will transcend

This poem was written February 28, 2003 as a result of changes I face everyday in my own life, and knowing that others are also going through daily changes.

It is very true that Life is 10% what happens to us, and 90% how we deal with it.

I have found that most everything in life can be dealt with and accepted as soon as we realize we have little or no control over anything but our own attitudes.

I think you express that very well.
