Rain

The rain against the window says "You're leaving"

It reminds me that it is now time to go

I've got to pack my things and drive away from this city

I've got to start over with everything that I couldn't take back

I just have to say

I wouldn't want it any other way

I'm not alone

But I'm not with you

Everything is exactly how God intended it to be

Rain on me

Rain, rain where ever from it came

I do not know

I don't wanna look back

I've got a life to live and stay on track

You were my lover and my friend

I'd give anything to do it again

Know you were the best I ever had

I want you to know you're the best I'll ever have

Now the deep dark breeze blows sloftly agianst my shoulder

It says "Never look back...right now you have to go"

But I always am looking over my shoulder

I expect an angel with dirty blonde hair

I expect an angel but I never see you there

I just have to say

I wouldn't want it any other way

You have your life

And I have mine

Together I guess that we are doing fine

Rain on me while you are growing up again

Rain, rain where ever from it came

I do not know

I don't wanna look back

I've got a life to live and stay on track

You were my lover and my friend

I'd give anything to do it again

Know you were the best I ever had

I want you to know you're the best I'll ever have

You were the best I knew

You are the one I'll never forget

I want you to know you were the best I ever had

I want you to know you're still the best I'll ever have

Author's Notes/Comments:

Thanx, C, for everything in my life you have ever done...and for all the nice words and encouragement you continue to give.  If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have so much faith in myself.  I know God loves you, and I do too.
