A friend I have so far away
We talk and hear, the things they say
Moments shared, are treasured thought
With heartfelt words that can’t be bought
A special soul that bends your ear
Sometimes a smile, sometimes a tear
Thou distant miles keep you apart
You tend to place them in your heart
So hold their hand and make it clear
They’re not alone, “A Friend is Near!”
