The trouble with voting is that They never tell us enough to let us make an informed decision on the ballot. It's always just a blurb that barely says enough, in a language none of us average folk really understand. Nobody taught me how to read law in a way that is clear. Nobody taught me how to read it without wanting to fall asleep either. Nobody shows us what else is in the bill. So They slip things in that we don't notice or know about. How are we supposed to follow the laws when we don't get taught what all the laws are anyway? How are we to decide on things when they don't really educate us on what we are deciding?
That's What Electees Are For
Call or write to your local State Government office and ask for a detailed explanaiton of each bill on this year's ballot. A State Senator or Congressman will do. E-Mail them and they will e-mail you back, probably with a request to make a donation to their next election. Ignore that part, get the skinny on the laws and whether or not they support them and an explanation on how it will benefit you. They are paid and have big end contributors and do not need your dollars.
.
I bug 'em all the time. :D
It just seems
The system is unfair and doesn't give voters fair opportunity to learn and understand. I'm just bitching because I know it isn't simple for regular folk. And there is an unfair advantage. We ought be truly taught through our public education systems...

You used to but that was
You used to but that was replaced with activism and a whole bunch of sociopolitical sciences. People are even not aware they a republic not a democracy and don't realise how fantastic the system was set up to protect the individual. Now there's a push for a democratic system that is bastardised and does not work for the people. There's not even a popular vote private members vote on the big issues and individuals are corrupt. Democracy happens only with debate and exchange of information from constituents to representative and vice versa. You have shadow gives all over the world who are nameless power hungry chess players only they are playing with our lives. We have the numbers. But we need the big guns Unfortunately we all handed them over and depend on a corrupt system to save us one as an example the rest casualties of war and money. Magna Carta and declaration of independence you don't know how lucky u are and how bad it is to lose it. I guess you don't know what u got till it's gone...
