6:00 A.M.

Folder:
Love of my Life

6:00 A.M. our day starts,

7:30 A.M. our paths part

Me to my office, you to the loft,

God how I miss, your body so soft.

We spend our days running here and there,

Losing more of our precious time to share.

Caring for others I know we must,

But it has grown to where there is no time for us.

It is 5:30pm and I be heading home again,

You may be there or gone til God knows when.

Feed the moms, pick pills off the floor.

Clean up from dinner and watch the door.

Finally you are home, totally beat,

Several more hours work before admitting defeat.

Trudging to bed with Lucy in tow,

To sleep a short while before back to work you go.

Two or three hours, you plug at the chore,

Then back to bed…It is 6:00 A.M. once more.

Author's Notes/Comments:

To my beautiful wife, I love you with all my heart. It seems the older we get the less time we have for each other. I miss you...I miss us, but for the moment, it is what it is.
I love you and always will.
