A star appears in the east

O'er the birthplace

of the Prince-of-Peace.

A humble beginning in a stable

He would grow strong and able.

He took up his father's work

And with death looming,

he did not shirk.

To save us from our sin

It was his life that was given.

On the cross he died

So he could rise again,

The blameless one

died for our sins.



What have we done to deserve such grace

As we run hither and yon in this rat race.

Give to the less forturnate

So they don't have to steal?

Buy a homeless person

A decent meal?



Give a gift to someone you don't know

Let love's candle, brightly show.

Be a beacon of his love,

And you will be rewarded from above.



Over this holiday season,

Don't look for a reason,

Give the gift that none will spurn,

The gift of love comes 'No deposit, No return.'

It may make someone's day

And in turn will forward pay.



Merry Christmas to all and Happy New Year,

Be safe, love your neighbor, and spread the cheer.
