The Queen of my World

Folder:
Love of my Life

On first seeing this girl of mine

It seemed I had known her for all time.

Cupid's arrow had found my heart

And I knew this was the start.

The magic of that moment in time

Can't be explained just in rhyme.

It has to be felt with finding true love,

And I give thanks to the one above.

The warm feelings that engulfed me,

Was just a glimmer of those to be.

The lilt of her sweet voice captivated

And the sparkle of her eyes elevated.

The touch of her hand on mine

Told me, now was the time.

That very second, I had no doubt,

I had found true love so devout.

I knew I had found my true other.

The one to be my childrens' mother.

They kept saying, "time would tell"

It has been 34 years and all is well.

Each waking moment, I think of her.

Each dream I dream, she is there.

Her name is a melody unto my ears.

Her freshness, like morning dew on the meadow fair.

Not much more I can say of this girl,

She captured my heart and is the

Queen of my world.

Author's Notes/Comments:

I dedicate this to my loving wife of ~34 years and hope this is just the start of our lives together.
