The Dove

She is an enigma,

this lady so sweet,

Speaking a love and peace dogma

Oh so titillatingly naive.

Completely foreign

to this redneck bard.

one who would purloin

this beating heart.

With her pen so sharp,

She reins in a violent mind

When my pen starts to carp

In my heart, peace she finds.

An angel here on earth

A shining beacon of peace and love,

From this bard for what it is worth,

Remain as you are, forever, the dove.

Author's Notes/Comments:

For J. She knows of whom I speak. Stay as you are as you are a breath of fresh air and a voice of redemption for us all.

You make me speechless! Thus I feel like using a 'german' word 'Fassungslos,' as an expression to your overwhelming poem.
