The images flash across the screen
Of heros and heroines
Digging through the rubble
And looking for lives
Holding on to that glimmer of hope
To find one who survived.
They put their feelings on hold
While the families they try to console.
They come from every walk
And their pride in our cohesivenes
Is all they can talk.
We are all heros who stand tall this day
Strengthened in our resolve to make them pay.
Yes, everywhere I look, it is heros I see,
Firefighthers, police, rescue workers, John Q. Public,
You and me.
Everyone of us that has stood to say
I am proud to be an American,
Yesterday, tomorrow, and today.
You may take our security, but never our faith,
The resolve of free people, you will not shake.
So bring it on and be prepared to die,
Because I see nothing but heros on our side.
American, Mongolian, European, Indian, African ... we all are heros that we are human being.
