Abritelite

The earth at night

observes Abritelite

A dancing ember

that gives pause to remember.

Of earlier times, before we got old,

And sitting outside didn't bring on a cold.

Of flaxen hair and eyes like pools

that would turn one into a stammering fool.

Abritelite from down under

a mystery light that makes one wonder.

Is she cold like the surface of Juno

or as hot as the sun or a volcano?

Tis never to know this light so far

Close as the internet but might as well be Mars.

Her sing song voice to never hear

Always faraway and never near.

Joined by this mystery of that which we write,

None other fills us with joy as Abritelite.

How I remember the days when postpoems was so small, you could come to know such special people. Now, it is large, that only the special ones are noticed among this sea of endless words, phrases & emotions now known as postpoems.com.

I feel now, that I am a winner but not from a poetry contest, more from the words I read that were definately not in jest, I say thank you, to my friend it means such a lot to see, that someone as talented as you wrote these words especially for me :)
