Consuming fire of God

Fall like Jericho,

Burn like Sodom,

Sink like Atlantis

Consuming fire of god,

on the enemies of him

He can preserve or

He can destroy

He is alpha and

He is Omega

Lord of lords,

King of Kings

Those who sin greatly

are called to repentance

But there are certain men who sin

who don't feel sorry

who dont want forgiveness

Sin overflowing like molten iron,

is poisoned the ground

Sin which brings great consequence

God is merciful

and god is terrible

to the righteous and

to the wicked

Amen

Author's Notes/Comments:

Deuteronomy 32:39 King James Version (KJV)

39 See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.

Revelation 1:8 King James Version (KJV)

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty

Ephesians 5:5-16King James Version (KJV)

For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.

Be not ye therefore partakers with them.

For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:

(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)

10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.

11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.

13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.

14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.

15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,

16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

Isaiah 5:20 King James Version (KJV)

20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Genesis 3:14-15 King James Version (KJV)

14 And the Lord God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:

15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

Jude 4
King James Version (KJV)

For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ

John 8:44 King James Version (KJV)

44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it

With the respect one member

With the respect one member of postpoems owes to another, I am posting this response, but feel free to delete this comment if it does not fit in your view of spirituality.  This poem reminds me of the witch-burners who preached in New England in the late 1600's. so anxious to stamp out sin that they strung a few people when the preaching stopped being enough for them.  I think I asked you before---with no reply (that I know of) to my inquiry---how to you reconcile your poem's theology and eschatology to the great meditations on love in the Johanine writings and in 1 Corinthians 13?  Again, I mean no disrespect to you as another poet, but I a bit curious as the provenance, beyond the ostensible purpose, of this poem.
