Ghalib was a great poet not only due to his unique views on mysticism but also with his broad-based philosophy he had deep got insight into the human psychology. And as far as his imaginative powers are concerned, he was simply matchless. In the words of Iqbal:
Fikr-i-Insan par tiri hasti sey yeh roshan hua
Hey par-i-murgh-i-takhayyul ki rasaaii ta kuja
