Gone

There’s an empty seat,

In the class today,

God, tell me why,

He couldn’t stay,

There’s an empty space,

On the yearbook page,

No more songs he’ll sing,

No more parts on the stage,

There were so many people,

He had to forgive,

Someone please tell me why,

He couldn’t live,

There were so many things,

He had to do,

So much yet to come,

But his life is through,

There were so many words,

He left unsaid,

So many pages,

That were left unread,

Why did he have to go?

So violently,

Couldn’t he have died,

More silently?

A bullet lodged,

Inside his brain,

They called it an accident,

He must have been in pain,

I can feel it now,

His life was so strong,

Whoever killed him,

Was so wrong,

He had so much to live for,

He would have had fun,

On all the class trips,

His life had just begun,

I wish he wasn’t gone,

I wish he were here to see,

Everything that has happened since he left,

He meant so much to me,

I wanted to tell him,

So much I cared,

I wanted him to know,

His life should have been spared,

It is so different,

Since he left,

Who is responsible,

For this theft?

His life was precious,

To everyone he showed love,

But now he is at rest,

With our God above,

As much I miss him,

I know he is strong,

Because he’s in Heaven,

And that’s where he belongs.

Oh my god... wow. Is this from real life experience? Even if it isn't... very nice job... extremely well written. I am amazed. Beautiful. Keep writing!
