Love is a constant in the universe.

It's forever mission, to navigate the stars.

Like a contrail comet, it never dies.

Only showing itself in a cascading cycle,

we are blessed to enjoy in its splendor.

Bright as the sun when it appears in our eyes,

mesmerized in a trail of disbelief when

it makes a swift, streaming departure.

We sit beside hope, watching the night sky,

waiting for another comet to rendezvous.

Deprived of a cataclysmic encounter...

we settle for an array of shooting stars.
