There once was a heart so lonesome,
Cast aside, as others only refrained from.
Yet change this tragedy would finally bring
On a starry night in the middle of spring.
Across an aisle eyes wander 'til gazes stuck,
Two souls brought together by fate or luck?
Lustful thoughts at a moment's glance,
Hearts aflutter, as we took the chance.
Then a breath of life blew into my stillborn chest
To awaken a love I never would've guessed.
Like a talisman traveled from the stars,
Searching for Venus and her Mars.
I know this passion hits me deep,
For such pleasures curb my sleep;
But why waste to dream when mine is real?
I care not for fantasy. I wish to feel.
But now this tale takes on newer light
When she left for home by way of flight.
Whereupon red became my eyes, redder my cheek;
Such tears and fears made me mild and meek.
Ill I became, my life, banal by a pain
No pill this condition could ever wane.
A fortnight straight I tossed and turned,
Tortured I felt in hell to be burned.
Such is this story and its end,
But the human heart is apt to mend,
By healing itself, to cleanse away sin,
Since its aim is the solace to awaken again.
Loved this story. Especially
Loved this story. Especially the end. :)
