I've loved artistic expression since I was a little boy, first finding solace in sketching at the age of four or five. That love for art for art's sake carried over to poetry while I was an undergraduate at university. Since then the drawing has unfortunately halted but I hope to one day get back to it. I currently work as a GTA in the German Studies' department at my uni. I've loved learning the German language since my early twenties, having had the benefit of studying abroad in Germany on multiple occasions.
I enjoy the art of many of the Romantics, such as Keats, Wordsworth, Byron, Blake, and Shelley, of course.
As a German speaker I've enjoyed the poetry of Rilke, Schiller, G. Benn, and Heine. I'm always open for more recommendations!
Lastly, the work of T.S. Eliot, Auden, Yeats and Dylan Thomas.
