Beneath soft angles
caressed by gentle soul light,
My angel sleeps
And her world she imagines and dreams
so mysterious to me
a vision deeper than words.
She's so close to me
But closer to perfection
So far above me
But I'm content to surrender
And to gaze upward
To bathe in the whisper of her name
And ideas of her thoughts.
Wistfully I wish
To see the world through her eyes
Life she lives, air she breathes
So ethereal to me, as I cradle
Unborn dreams in the heaven of her soul.
Yearning... It burns me
To need her so
To gently nestle and
Hold her heart in the warmth of my life
Cheek to cheek with an angel and light.
I feel her tears
And I ache to the depths of infinity.
My soul smiles when she's happy
There's warmth when she's safe.
Tenderly
I touch her cheek
And tears fill my eyes
Each with the truth
Of what I feel inside.
I am so lost in her,
Yet I've found in her:
My timeless, truest love.
