Violets are dark
Roses are bright
I smelt the roses
that one summer night
The smell was so soft
So soothing and sweet
That I had to bend over
To sample this treat
The darkness had blinded me
To the surprise that lay ahead
I expected soft texture
But i found thorns instead
Let this be a lesson
Do not find out on your own
I have fallen to temptation
And since then I have known
When something seems sweet
And inoocent at first glance
If you trust those first senses
You take a great chance
For lurking in the darkness
The sweetest roses do
Have thorns on thier stems
This I warn you
this is very good. a different twist on roses are red, violets are blue. nicely written.
