Self-denial is not a thing that we enjoy.
Who would volunteer for self-sacrifice?
Who would be willing to give up a new toy?
Self-denial is not a thing that we enjoy.
But sins’ sting, and sins’ grip You did destroy
Even though Your very life was the price.
Yet, self-denial is still not a thing that we enjoy.
I fear that not one of us would volunteer for self-sacrifice?
