I love You, Lord
You are Holy
You Are Mighty,
You are my Savior.
You are Holy,
You hear my ev’ry prayer
You are my Savior.
You are My God.
You hear my ev’ry prayer,
My heart, You prod.
You are my God,
You listen to my heart’s cry.
My heart, You prod.
On my secrets, You spy.
You listen to my heart’s cry,
and your arms are around me.
On my secrets, You spy
Yet, safe with you, they be.
And Your arms are around me,
I feel your Love.
Safe, with You, I be.
You are Mighty,
I feel Your Love.
I love You, Lord.
I really, really like the
I really, really like the testimony that this poem presents. Its lines are energetic, and their brevity keeps the poem moving until it concludes. The fourteenth and seventeenth lines do not work, at least for me; as they seem to reduce God to a spy, which is a pejorative term: His knowledge of our lives is not obtained by "spying" upon them.
Other than that, I applaud the Faith that made this poem possible; and, coming ouf of the writer's block you mentioned, it is mighty impressive!!!
