When comming first to PostPoems,
I really came in fear.
Had I finally found a home,
would someone, really hear?
I can't seem to find my way around,
bad form and old cliche's
but ... in here ... I vowed, somehow,
that it would not be the same.
I spent lots of times in Random Names
reading each ones page.
I put out a few invites
and the visitors slowly came.
Rus, was the first to read my work
To him, I say " You are the best!"
Gary, you have given me
so much new confidence.
Mel, when I saw my name
upon your E-mail page,
I really can't explain to you
what my feelings were that day.
And then, of course, dear Dougie.
A kindred spirit, we seem to share.
You too, took the time to make me known,
Telling friends that I was here.
To all of you that I have found
within the random names
I just wanted to somehow tell you,
"I'm mighty glad I came."
Thanks fellas
Lesa
I know that when you are new anywhere it can be hard at first to find your way around, hard to make friends.
Lesa, we are all glad you are here as well.
*laugh* Thanks for immortalizing me gorgeous one!
Russ
i think our dear old Dougie had summed it up so well - kindred spirits indeed, in this brave new world.
Soulmates across miles, almost faceless, and with only slim chances to meet up in real life.
Smilesz.
May i invite u to read two poems of mine, lesa?
from my first hall: Everyone of You
from my second : New Age Friendship
Thanxs for posting this, lady...and thanxs for reading/liking my poetry.
Yours is wonderfully pleasing, and most enjoyable ~
;)
AAHhhhhhhhhhhhh... Shuck"s little lady! Twren't nut'in !!!
You are so sweet!
But really Lesa, anybody who can write the way you do, deserves all the recognition they can get... I simply love your style, your passion, and your special way of getting what is in your heart across in your writing.
That is what means the most to me, and I know it does to you... yes we are kindred spirits!!!
Peace and love ~ Always ~~~ Dougie ~~~
Mighty glad you came too! I have read but a couple of your poems at the time I write this. Yet, your sensibility and honesty shine in all you write. Warm, tender feelings, and the wisdom of experience give power and authority to your poems. Don't worry about misspellings, & other unorthodox inhabitants of your poems--they are tender twigs and bark designs through which your sincerity and warmth also shines.
