Simpleness

Folder:
Nature

Listening to simplistic chirps of a bird

Soaking in the stillness

Just before the first break of light

dashes across the dew

Somewhere between the lull of peace

and the dread of day

How the morning is our friend

Reminding us of simpleness,

soothing our souls

Renewing what the night could not

and day takes away

Her tangible wealth

discovered in a single sigh

She fulfills her task

to find our forgotten senses

Author's Notes/Comments:

I wrote this poem while lying on my bed just before dawn. (I think reading my Bible) The birds' singing was so relaxing and revealed the peace that nature provides which is truly a gift from God. The strange thing was that as the sun came up, it sort of drowned out the sound of the birds. How can eye stimulation drown out ear
stimulation? It was amazing. Throw out the nerve pills! God has a healthier remedy.
