.

A sixty six year female contemplation of religion has resulted in some fairly insane conclusions. #1. Religion is for cowards, those who cower before that which frightens. A code of behaviour designed to diminish or whisk away terror, religion. God will protect you and destroy your enemies. If your enemies have faster guns, it's God's will and heaven happens. God is empowering against the causes of wrath, other human non-believers.
.

Christianity was good in 1619 to justify stripping Black culture from those who were non-caucasoid: no other gods allowed, no other language, no beliefs and practices outside those in the Bible, a jewish plagaristic artifact based on mountain dieties living inside active volcanoes, changed by a male messiah concept actualized. Comedians should read the Biblical and Koranian justifications interpreted by the powerful and do some skits. Remenber thinking humans rebel if it gets too rape-whip no rights one sided. Religious texts provide great examples of slave rebellions - jews outta egypt, for example. yaweh, Moses, charleton heston--I get these confused.
.

Islam, like most religions, was only allowed to be written down by men. So, where do all these virgins come from, dude, if they were forced to live in group housing for one cat's use? Okay. Magic solves all problems. How old are these virgins, old muslim man? Imagine the religious text if written only by females. Oh baby! All males at 17 with less than a two inch long  errection--stone him!

.

Education for women is absolutely forbidden lest they figure out slavery concepts. Men die, hit Paradise, old and can't get up more than half an inch. What are they gonna do with one virgin, let allone more? Somebody male sat under a tree and thought unlimited legal fucking was a heavenly requirement. As a female, I think that too, but under islam, it's all about the guys. Women are not allowed to have Ids, libidos, or watch porn.
.

Most religious text have an Eve concept going. Snakes were a big part of religious practice back in the day before prophets and monothiesm showed up. The uneducated gullible ate it up. No Wi-fi, no radio, religion nouveau filled a void, much like for most of modern history believers. Read the Bible only or the Koran or the official Torah, Gita, et al to find the magical only truth.
.

If you google religions by numbers of followers, Christianity wins. Why? Because the Judeo-christian nations have bigger computers, land masses, and nukes which truthifies why more Christians. Who did the head count and whose abacus did the tallying? That is the question.

.

The exercise in male only anthropomorphism is a winner. Go figure. Women want husbands so badly, being excluded from the pulpit is ingrained in the female psyche. #2 Where Gods come from will have to wait until another time. This got long. Jihad aka kill all people of non-color in the "West and North and Australia" is #3.

My dad used to sit us down to

My dad used to sit us down to watch it every year at home, too. I am not much of one for television, but I did appreciate the sentimental nature of watching that yearly (or Twilight Zone marathon's on New Years - which were much more intellectually stimulating :) ). Speaking of which - Soylent Green, what a classic.

As for the person Heston was - I guess he was no Moses off the screen, huh? Hollywood is full of hollow bodies.

He Was A Man Of His Time

Hollywood back in the day. whew! Rod Serling rocked - I have TZ the book on the shelf. Remember Nolan's One Step Beyond, Alcoa Presents with the Knight crashing the window, alfred, Them (giant Grasshoppers), Mr. Peabody And The Mermaid, The Blob (Steve McQueen). I love movies. Especially sci-fi.

I have always mistrusted

I have always mistrusted organized religion.  It can be a force for good for some people but the leaders of most faiths tend to skew toward manipulative abusers.  Like most things, religion is only good if taken in moderation.

In A Mood

Under educaded folks use religion as a fall back authority to justify what they say and for why they should lead and be first. I should write The Liberated Woman's Bible. Be a best seller! And a great movie!

You're not wrong about this,

You're not wrong about this, but I would also say that among the modern educated, Science with the big 'S' serves the same purpose. People tend to love a cult(ure).
