in that stream of the lime light
on stage you seemed thin as a rail
swaying to the music, small but not frail
like you were absorbed by tremulous
the only feature of the spotlights surface
diving into the sea of song, you know where you belong
you are there at the pinnacle of consequence
like the way your embrace features your grace
you sound the best in your French accent
it is the arbiter of your instrument
distant, solitary the deep shade of resonance
true blue, and gratefully fine like collected sighs
your voice sent to bridge the distance
with an audience along for the ride
provoke the fever hear me call your name
we call for MORE, and MORE is what we exclaim!

Well, my ex was an acting
Well, my ex was an acting coach. Meisner influenced. He was really good. For a number of years I sat in on his workshop. He would call the space, "A safe place to be dangerous." It was real, raw, exploration of emotional truth. Those workshops were more fun than any actual show I went to. It was all improvisational. When an actor would get down to their truth, they weilded theatrical power that was quite stunning. That's when we would be saying, "More!". I miss it. Wednesday nights were the highlight of my week. It's sooo fun to watch people get down to the truth of themselves through the work.

very interesting
I don't have that ability, never was so inclined. I like to speak publicly though.so, you miss it? can start your own group?
My younger brother is an actor. He's very good but he lacks the confidence he needed to become lucky, I mean he never lived up to his own expectations. He took too drink and well he now is a true to life Willie Lowman.. Sad how life giveth and taketh away...

I didn't do 'the work'
I didn't do 'the work' myself. I was merely an observer. Learned a lot though. More about getting down to ones own personal truth. And being vulnerable. Vulnerability has a great power theatrically. I would not start my own group. I have far to much respect for 'the work'. I may know the terminology but I simply don't have the skill. Sorry to hear about your brother. :\
