A SEA OF GREEN

Folder:
A YOUNG POET

Have you ever stood on a
summer day?
Viewing the grass across
the way.
Blowing in the noonday
breeze,
Very inviting, so at ease.

Looking lovely, and serene,
Almost like a sea of green.
Stepping across to simply
see.
Is this an illusion, can it be?
Disappointed, when arriving,
there,
Ragweeds growing
everywhere.
Stepping back , knowing
what you've seen,
Surrounded by a sea
of green.
