Appearances can be deceiving.  If every outwardly beautiful person was beautiful on the inside as well, then I would have no reason to hide away from them.

I ACTUALLY WROTE THIS BEFORE 9/11/01. IT JUST ALL FELL INTO PLACE AFTER A PERIOD OF TIME. HUMAN CLONING, SNIPER ATTACKS,SMOG AND ACID RAIN, NATIONAL DEFECIT, THE THREAT OF WAR.THESE ARE ALL PART OF A SOCIETY, A SYSTEM THAT I HOLD PARTLY RESPONSIBLE FOR MY FATHERS DEATH. AND IN THE END MAYBE MINE TOO

I was thinking along the same lines as Shelley's "Ozymandias" when I wrote this one... I tried to put my own spin on it so it wasn't a pointless redundant poem though.

I was thinking about a phoenix one day (yeah, it sounds pretty weird... probly cuz it is) and I ended up composing this thing :/
