If every angel told the truth
There would be not a reason to hide
But make-up or muscle
Cannot mask ugliness inside
Author's Notes/Comments:
Appearances can be deceiving. If every outwardly beautiful person was beautiful on the inside as well, then I would have no reason to hide away from them.
i agree with you

you are right appearances can be deceiving. But why do you need to hide away from certain people?
Peace
This is...true. There is no doubt of that. And put wonderfully to fit criterion, which is always a good thing. Here. I would like you to read William Carlos Williams' poem, Danse Russe, Fran showed it to me last night and I fell in love with it. It doesn't apply to this poem, really, but I thought you'd like it.
If when my wife is sleeping
and the baby and Kathleen
are sleeping
and the sun is a flame-white disc
in silken mists
above shining trees,-
if I in my north room
dance naked, grotesquely
before my mirror
waving my shirt round my head
and singing softly to myself:
"I am lonely, lonely,
I was born to be lonely,
I am best so!"
If I admire my arms, my face,
my shoulders, flanks, buttocks
against the yellow drawn shades,-
Who shall say I am not
the happy genius of my household?
Another incredibly true poem. Your poem The Black Man was difficult to read--not in a bad sense. Well, yes, in a bad sense, as it is difficult if the reader has any sensitivity. It is not only racism, but discrimination of any kind, the negative stereotyping that can prove fatal. It's so fucking sad. It's all color and sexuality and religion that kills people...I don't get it.
me.
