Being Loved

Cinderella, a / When She Was A Little Girl

Author's Notes/Comments:

The daughter of close friends was killed by a drunk-driver, & the thought overwhelmed me: "Now she'll never know the dreams of Cinderella come true".  That thought was not one on which I wished to dwell all day, so I changed it into dreams that DID come true, & here you have it.  Especially meaningful to us is Prince Charming, for our only son was killed the same year, also by a drunk-driver.  He'll never have the chance to be Prince Charming & meet Cinderella, so the poem is for him, too.

Just in case for those who don't understand this poem, it's about a girl who loved a guy so much that even though she knew he didn't love her, she convinced herself that he DID love her... make sense??
