With hypnotic energy, you: With hypnotic energy, you spun me into a fury of destruction and transformation. As the realm you breathed life into with dazzling imagery, crumbled in flame, you conjured a mysterious calm, the absence of life, except for the speaker “baptized in the ash”.   Such delightfully dark intrigue. Expecting a culmination of apocalyptic drama, you showed yourself to be a shrewd and exceptional poet with an abrupt psychological twist: a far more thoughtful, traumatic and identifiable response to tragedy.    Your last stanza hovered and stung like smoke over a lifeless world. The word "alone" still echoes.    A stunning achievement! Huge respect.

This is a very interesting: This is a very interesting perspective.  I believe that man who now lives in the White House, and who had himself depicted as a Pope, has angered God; rather than just ICE.

This feeling is something old: This feeling is something old and sitting very still close to my heart. I keep rereading this to figure out what it is.  It's something about the last line that makes me think of childhood infatuation, watching someone you idolize in a moment of glory. This poem is really something special.

Every time you post, I know: Every time you post, I know I'm in for a delcious treat of thoughtful prose, whirling imagery, and sublime enchantment at the subtle voice speaking through the words-- there is something mystical about your writing, like the sound of a third note which is created by a pure harmony in music.
