Sorry: It got long. Happy valentine's day.   

That Was A Thing Once: . That would be a great 24 hour post-covid original poetry marathon (I've done 2). Invitation only. Everybody wear black outfits and tams, no white socks, black fingernail polish optional. Fake black facial mole. Black painted  very wide boards as floor table. Red  napkins. BYOP (pillows not pills). Lots of room to stand, munch, stretch, listen to readings. Write poem (5 line max; no more than 25 words). Read all night - sleep, rise, eat, and write! Real published poets only who can write all night.  Absolutely no non-reading guests. . Every hour, bring out dinner plate sized platters (not necessarily in this order): Two-bone slices of spare ribs & quarter sliced jewish rye bread - ribs flavors: plain, garlic, dripping red sinful lemon sliced boiled sweet with syrup and sauce, fresh baked brownies, Beef Strog, salad with mushrooms and ranch, coffee, grilled steak squares  on toothpicks, bowks if oecans and pistachios, cheese  dip with mushrooms and sliced apples, not crackers, croissants, mac and cheese, tacos, rum cake,  sliced ham squares, baked lemon glazed squares, shepherds pie, shiskabob on long toothpick (cuke, square peper cheese, marichino cherry, slices of boiled red sausage), pear cobbler, tri-cut celery stalks with various dips: (taco sauce, cuke-orange, coolwhip-cherry, chili-cheese, guacamole, and artichoke-tumuric-cumin paste), bottles of water, caramel corn, cherry-walnut-coconut bars big bowls of (red licorice, miniature hershey and Mr. good bars, miniature mars bars, snickers, suckers), caffinated tea, wingdings, potato chips, shot glass of pepsi/coke,  Mustard based Potato Salad, spinach leaf wrapped salmon, shot~glass smoothie, ripe olives,  cheese curls, mushroom soup baked garlic/onion meatloaf, peanut M & Ms,  spaghetti, marshmallows, lorna doones - tums, pepto, and soda-bicarb. . . For desert: be creative . . . . Note: Use saucer sized plates, teaspoons as serving utinails, real napkins, decor: sharp pencils in cups, small note pads, black painted roses in white vases (Take home gifts, 1 rose per person).  Spacing, enough room to write And sleep.  . As a diabetic, that was fun.  . Publish anthology of poems. The second marathon, they'll come just for the food :D . Lady A .
