Love You are the light of my life!
So special to me your are.
You lit up my world, so bright was it.
Then the clouds came in.
What destruction they caused.
Terrified of the darkness, we ran our separate ways.
Not knowing if we had stayed together we would have survived the darkness.
Once again to see the light.
But we didn't the regrets we have knowing we can't change the past.
Only hoping we might see that light once again.

Sometimes pain comes in life and we don't know why. Sometimes pain comes in life and you feel part of you die. Sometimes pain comes in life to prepare you for a brighter future. One thing is certain it can't rain all the time, eventually the sun will shine.

It gave me a sense of loss, but with a hint of renewal. I wondered, however, what caused the intial breakup, because, sometimes, you can't recover the past until you're emotionally "past" it. But there wasn't enough information to know if your desire to rekindle is a good one, nor how it related to "losing' or deciding against love the first time? But I got the sense of the poem all right and it made me curious. Thanks for posting.
