But it Didnt

Folder:
Pain

My mothers love should have grown stronger each day.

But it Didn't!

With such Happiness from the first time she held me.

But it Didn't!

With a sparkle in her eyes an a smile on her face that should have said I Love You.

But it Didn't!

But through the years never remembering my mothers love.

All because there was no love.

Now I die inside.

Never having been loved with a True Mothers Love.

Author's Notes/Comments:

It is concerning how my Mother never Loved me. An the pain one suffered from no love from her mother.

A sad refection. Some women are not meant to be mothers as well as some men were not meant to be fathers. Parenting is not an "on the job training" position.

Your expression is succinct with the words of a cold reality. How well I know this feeling. A hole that cannot be filled - but must be accepted so you can move on. Expressing feelings can help one heal - if the desire is there. Keep writing

That is really sad. Being so close to my mother I could not image this feeling.

Beautiful poem, and nice technique. I can really relate to it - all these regrets, things that should have happened differently but were beyond your control.. beautiful, keep writing.
