I've been thinking of you lately

I love you Ama

I really do

I forgive you and your mistakes

But you still make my heart ache

I miss your hugs

I miss your food

Especially your chile rellenos

I miss your contagious laugh

I miss your singing at 10 am

I miss your dancing

But I don't miss you ranting

Or the way you get mad in seconds

I miss the way you make Emma laugh

But not the way you make me sad

When it gets bad between us

You have to give me time 

I've learned that you'll rather choose your pride

So I try not to argue back

Instead I let it slide

I love you but you make it hard

I wish I can tell you this in person

But I don't think you'll understand

I know because you've never have

But I'm still your other half
