A Flurry of Faces

Give me your hand and come with me,

we'll see the sand we'll see the sea.

I'll stand I'll stare through the open ire,

the waves won't calm, my heart won't retire.

In the crowd, theres only you in the flurry of faces,

I can feel my heart extend and reach as it joins our paces.

Your beautiful eyes stare solemnly, curiously

I hide behind myself, pushing myself furiously.

The flurry of faces fade and you stand alone,

should I move forward make my feelings known.

What will I say, what will do?

There's no way I could convince you.

you're beautiful, unspoken, quiet and bright,

the icebreaking moment in this curious sight.

In the crowd, theres only you in the flurry of faces,

I can feel my heart extend and reach as it joins our paces.

Your beautiful face, elegant and deep in thought.

In my head, words I could say, yet I feel distraught.

The flurry of faces fade and you stand alone,

should I move forward make my feelings known.

Extending my hand, I offer it to you,

I stutter, I mutter, nothing comes through.

You smile, it shimmers and the sea dies down,

you walk forward, and in words I drown.

In the crowd, theres only you in the flurry of faces,

I can feel my heart my head my feelings deplaces.

Your beautiful smile seems to hold me close from so far away.

you're so close, in my hand your hand, I wish it could stay.

The flurry of faces fade and you stand alone,

I should move forward and make my feelings known.

Give me your hand and come with me,

theres nothing to give or nothing to see.

All I have is myself and a promise to you,

Protection love and affection, if only you knew...
